5,5 days, 15 highlights, 180 km and more than 12,000 meters
The Sentier de Grande Randonnée 20 opened in 1974 and is now a classic. It is one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in the world and, due to its alpine route, the most extreme in Europe: "It leads up into the sky of this island and anyone who has not been on the GR20 will never have fully understood the beauty, even the essence of Corsica." 98 percent lead through the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse. Overall, both the meters in altitude and the demanding trails over terrain with boulders, ridges and along rope insured points undermine your mental and physical strength. The GR20 rewards you with sensational single trails, fabulous views, wonderful pools and a dreamlike landscape.
WHAT A MONSTER!
One of the many positive feedbacks at the end of the GR20. There is pride as well as respect for the trail and the achievements of others. Very important in this context: It is not a race. It doesn't need to be, because every day is brutal in itself. Instead, the focus is on team spirit, because together this experience is even more fun.
Attention, the basic requirements are extensive experience on demanding trails in high alpine terrain, i.e. absolute surefootedness and a head for heights, extreme endurance fitness and a desire for adventure.
The complete service including trail book with all important details, maps and altitude profiles, GPX data, on-site support and luggage shuttle costs 285,- euros as before (300,- from October 1st, 325,- from January 1 st and from April 1st 350,-).
