The Ultratrail on Mallorca was a cult event and the perfect start to the season. Easily accessible by plane, warm in the spring, beautiful and demanding. Everyone who had once started was thrilled. Unfortunately, more than 90 percent of the trails lead over private grounds and after negative incidents, the owners said no.
But this dreamy trail not run anymore? For this reason, the GR221 Trans-Mallorca will not be a race, but like the GR20 Trans-Corsica a special experience for 35 participants.
GR 221 - over the mountains of the north wind
Overall, we mostly follow the Gran Recorregut 221 or, as locals call it, the Ruta de Pedra en Sec, the dry-stone route, across the Sierra de Tramontana, the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Mosaic and varied, it is made up of mule tracks and connecting trails, cart and Arabian stone-paved paths, centuries-old tobacco smuggler trails and pilgrimage paths. Where we know more beautiful and therefore worthwhile alternatives, of course, we use these.

Sporty and relaxed
In the race over 107 kilometers, the time limit was 24 hours, as a hike, the GR 221 is offered in eight stages. We want to finish it in three days. This makes it ideal as a training and last but not least there´ s enough time to enjoy and take pictures. In addition, we meet again and again the tour bus, which can also serve as a shuttle to the stage destination.
We start on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 clock in Port d'Andratx in the southwest of Mallorca. The first stage takes us over 33 kilometers to Estellencs. The next day with 44 kilometers is also beautiful and ends at Port Sóller. And the third, the queen stage with 44 kilometers finish in Pollença in the north.
If you want to take it easy, we offer a special service with shorter daily stages (20 / 21 / 26 km) and a shuttle to the stage destination.

Registration Tramuntana Trail 2018
Attention, there are only 35 places! The basic requirements are experience on trails, team spirit, the desire for extraordinary experiences free from competition stress and fun in adventures.
For a perfect process we cooperate with Christian Reichart and his agency Ardeo Eventdesign. On request we organize your shuttle from the airport to the start, book your overnight stays and reserve a table for dinner.
In addition, you will receive in advance a comprehensive information pack with a detailed trail book, the route, maps and of course the GPX data. On-site we look after you with the service pack, take over for example the transport of your luggage and much more.
The complete service and support costs 165, - Euro when registering until 12/31/2017, 180, - until 3/31/2018 and 195, - from 4/1/2017 plus, if marked, the voluntary climate contribution. We look forward to you!
